Doubt Is Not the Enemy. It Is the Beginning.

Doubt has been framed as something to overcome. Something to resolve quickly. Something that stands between you and clarity.

But doubt is not the opposite of creativity.

It is the beginning of it.

Creativity requires uncertainty. It requires the willingness to enter a space where the answer is not yet known. Philosopher John Dewey described this as an “attitude of suspended conclusion”—the ability to remain in doubt long enough for something new to emerge. When you rush to eliminate doubt, you collapse that space. You return to the familiar. You reinforce what already exists.

But when you allow doubt to remain, perception changes. New possibilities become visible. Doubt interrupts inherited scripts and creates space for personal authority.

This is especially important if you were raised in a high-demand religious or ideological system, where doubt was framed as dangerous or weak. Many women learned to resolve doubt by deferring to external authority instead of trusting their own internal experience. Over time, this doesn’t just eliminate doubt—it eliminates self-trust.

But doubt is not the problem.

Doubt is often the first signal that something inside you is waking up.

It is not telling you what to believe. It is creating space for you to see.

If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your intuition, I want you to know that your intuition isn’t gone. It was conditioned out of you—and it can be reclaimed.

I’m hosting a free workshop called:
You’re Not Disconnected — You Were Conditioned: How Women Lose (and Regain) Their Intuition.

You’ll learn why intuition goes quiet, how doubt actually helps you access it, and you’ll experience a simple therapeutic art exercise to help you reconnect with your own inner authority.

Doubt is not something to fix.

It may be something to trust.
